DIAGNOdent is a laser cavity detector that aids in detecting the presence of early caries. This technology allows the dentist to detect the presence of small cavities using laser. Sub-surface caries lesions can be extremely difficult to detect using traditional dental equipment. With the laser caries detector, even very small lesions are detected at the earliest stage, enabling the dentist to protect and preserve most of the patient’s tooth substance. After diagnosis, the cavity can be treated in most cases without the use of anesthetics, using laser technology. |
